Pastoral and Finance Councils

Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council, as required by archdiocesan statutes, is a representative body of the faithful whose focus is on the whole community, uniting the whole community and pursuing the mission of the Church. This pastoral council possesses a consultative vote only and is governed by norms determined by the diocesan bishop. The Pastoral Council serves as the eyes and ears of the parish family. They listen to the needs of the parishioners and make suggestions to the pastor. New members are selected following a discernment process.

Finance Council
The Archdiocese requires every parish to have a finance council which is regulated by universal law as well as by norms issued by the Archdiocesan bishop. The Finance Council develops and monitors the parish budget. They also review and make recommendations to the pastor on parish financial and management matters. Members are appointed by the Pastor.

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes down upon you; then you are to be my witnesses... even to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
